From the 1st until the 6th of May 2022, EESTEC LC Thessaloniki will organise its third International Workshop, Smart and the City. 13 undergraduate students from Polytechnic Universities all over Europe and Turkey will have the chance to visit the beautiful city of Thessaloniki and connect with other members of the multinational EECS community of EESTEC.
The primary focus of the Workshop will be Smart Cities and Internet of Things technologies.
During the Workshop, professors, academic researchers and company representatives with expertise in the field will give lectures and seminars on various topics regarding the aforementioned technologies. The academic staff belongs in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as other Educational Institutions and Universities of Thessaloniki
The topics of the lectures will include the following:
- IoT Technologies: State of the Art and Challenges
- Geographic Information Systems in Smart Cities
- The smart grid from the perspective of the end users
- Communication Technologies in Smart Cities
- Security in Smart Cities using IoT Technologies
- 6G Networks: Trends and Hot Topics
- Leakage Detection in Noisy Pipelines
Besides the academic schedule of the event, the participants of the Workshop will take part in EESTEC traditions and fun activities, will go sightseeing and strolling on the beach and have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet Thessaloniki’s local culture, cuisine and unique beauty!
